EMBROIDERY ARTWORK REQUIREMENTS:
While vector artwork is always preferred - for embroidery, all we really need is a clear picture/graphic to create the design. Embroidery digitizing is creating the stitch file that our commercial embroidery machines need, and it is done by an artist laying the right type, direction, and path of stitches over your art to create an embroidered image.
SCREENPRINT ARTWORK REQUIREMENTS:
For screenprinting, vector artwork is required. If you do not have your artwork in vector format, we can create that for you. This will usually result in an art charge.
VECTOR VS RASTER FILES:
-
- A vector file is a digital image format that uses mathematical formulas to define images. Vector files can be resized infinitely without losing quality, making them ideal for logos, illustrations, and other scalable designs. Common vector file formats include .AI (Adobe Illustrator), .EPS (Encapsulated Postscript), and .SVG (Scalable Vector Graphics).
- Raster files are images created from pixels, tiny colored squares that form a complete image when arranged together. These files are commonly used for photographs and detailed graphics. Common raster file types include JPEG, PNG, GIF, and TIFF.
Definitely not a vector file:
- .jpg
- .png
- .tiff
- .Microsoft Office Documents
- .gif
- .bmp
- .exif
